On a recent road trip, as I spent 6 hours in the car, I meditated on my journey through my eating disorder and my commitment to my recovery: it's been the most difficult journey of my life, and also the most rewarding. It started with a leap of faith that life in recovery (life in freedom) would be better than life trapped in an eating disorder. It started with a small sliver of hope that recovery is possible and recovery is worth itRecovery is the best decision I've ever made.

As athletes, we are built for battle. We thrive on being strong, resilient, and never giving up. Fighting through an eating disorder requires those same traits, and I am passionate about helping athletes use those characteristics to your advantage in your journey to recovery and freedom from disordered eating. "You are built to be strong."


Kamila hosts talks and discussions for athletes, coaches, athletic administrators, and parents about athlete mental health and wellness.

Kamila has specific expertise in eating disorders, disordered eating and recovery as an athlete.
